This evening "The Archbishop" kicked off the show inviting all couples to take the "Divorce FREE Marriage" Pledge. Making it an affirmation and renewed commitment for your marriage. Within any relationship, forgiveness must have its place to assure long lasting relationship and there is no exception to the rule when it comes to marriage relationships. THERE IS POWER IN FORGIVENESS. You have to ask for forgiveness on the regular bases, but you should not be using the thought of forgiveness as a way to do wrong or get your way. There is a word for that and its not forgiveness, I call it manipulation and manipulation is a form of witchcraft. So, let's not got there, ok?
During the show, Archbishop asked listeners to ask themselves, "Why did you marry your husband? Why did you marry your wife?" And think about it. Well, I can tell you when I met my husband, I had already made a list of things I wanted in a husband and soul-mate. And it had nothing to do with his height or skin complexion...now that would have been too shallow of me, wouldn't it. But I did want someone who I could talk to about anything, someone I could learn from, someone I could look up to, a man who desired to work with his wife in business and a man who would pray over our family and with me. But that's just me.
Next are some other important topics that Archbishop discussed, tonight...The Trust Factor. Do you trust your spouse? Do you trust yourself? Often times people how have trust issues are not trust worthy themselves or need to forgive themselves or others for past hurts or pains inflicted upon them or whether they inflicted hurt on someone else. Regardless, unless these issues are addressed, giving forgiveness its place and allowing trust to be given or received its will continue to be a big elephant in the room. Can you see it sitting over there? I'm just kidding, but to be honest...I'm dead serious.

Ask your self: What are my intentions for my husband or wife? Are you a cheater? Are you faithful, but always being accused of something other than being committed? This is a clear sign that some talking needs to be happening, and fast. You don't want to be going to sleep with these feeling in your spirit as married couples, its like leaving the front and back door open for intruders. Avoid these and just start talking about it. Its a basic thing to do, talk and share what's on your mind and honesty is still the best policy.
Its time to get back to basics? Listening and talking...these are typical ChoiceConversations. Afterwards make compromises to one another and commit to keep the communication flowing, regardless.
