Are you a Christian desiring to write that book bubbling on the inside of you, but can't seem to put the pieces together to get it done? Join the crowd, you are not along. Actually, my husband with many degrees, as well as myself with none are in the same boat with you. But after tonight's special guest podcast interview with Christian Novel Author, Melissa Ann Ricks, we were empowered by her latest spiritual novel, "The Blood Done Signed My Name". Which is about a lady who had made many mistakes in life, who was able to use belief to overcome.
And that's just what we have to do Christian would-be writings, we have to first believe that we are going to do what it takes to bring all those books sitting dormant within us into reality, during this 2012 season and beyond. And yes, if you are reading this blog, I'm talking about you YOU, too.

A Few Point For New Christan Writers
1. How do you get started?
o Deny your self, ask God to hear from Him…Christian writers should be lead by God in their writings,
unlike other genre writers. it must come from Him.
o Determine if you will write from an outline or free form writing
2. What are some methods of writing your first Christian book or novel?
o Record yourself speaking the content for the book, then hire someone transcribe it into manuscript.
o Typing your content onto a word process on your computer, using Microsoft Word for example.
o The good old fashioned way, by simply writing your content by free hand writing.
3. How many pages should my book be?
o This depends on your message…it could be 300 pages, less or more.
o Some publishers are focused on word count…but as a Christian writer publishers are more focused on
the message, so don’t worry about it. Let God have its way and write or speak it.
4. How do I determine my book title
o As you hear the Holy Spirit, things will come to your remembrance…as you ask Him to guide you. This
is a promise us.
o Usually it doesn’t just come to you, if not, tap into His (God's) source through prayer and meditation
time.
o Give it to God to determine the title, who markets it, how many charters, etc. Trust Him to provide, if
you know He is directing you to write. He will not forsake you. Believe that and take action in your
writing.
o Ask God, "tell me God what and how you want me to do it", and expect His answer, then take action.
o Its already done, just do your part. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
